MSME Registration, Udyog Aadhaar & Udyam Registration are all the same. From 1st July 2020 the government has discontinued MSME Registration & Udyog Aadhar and has implemented Udyam Registration now.

Yes, you will need to either migrate your existing UAM or apply for a fresh Udyam Registration even if you have MSME Registration.

Any one doing any business can apply for Udyam Registration. Any individual or Firm or Company can apply for Udyam Registration.

A valid PAN of the Proprietor, firm or company is required along with a valid Aadhaar number of the individual representing the business.

An OTP is sent to validate the Aadhaar number and hence it is a must to have your mobile number linked to your Aadhaar if you want to receive this OTP. If it is not required you can do the same by visiting the nearest UIDAI centre.

You will need to apply fresh only if your other businesses have different PAN cards. If multiple businesses exist under the same PAN you can include them in one registration itself.

Udyam Registration number is generated immediately when your application is processed. You can use this number to download your Udyam Registration Certificate after a week’s time. Udyam Registration Certificate is available for download only after your information is verified by the concerned government office.
